Hello everyone,
Please take a look at the Vision Principles for Newtown Creek Restoration. These are very important because the Environmental Protection Agency will develop its list of cleanup alternatives based on the risk assessments and the community vision for the clean up.
During our next CAG meeting we will be facilitating a discussion about the list. Please bring your comments and ideas! This is a community document and we value your input.

I cannot attend, but I strongly support the draft vision guidelines, and especially the requirements that remediation extend to ensuring that the fish/shellfish are safe to consume, and that the CSO be stopped and treated so it is not adding to the pollution of the Creek.
My grandmother’s family lived near the Creek from the 1880’s, and the Creek supplied food, recreation, and work opportunities. I’d like to see that true once more.
